Like most bears his age, Ted likes to pretend. When he bumps his knee, Ted becomes Doctor Ted. And Doctor Ted is in dire need of patients. Throughout the story, Doctor Ted presents his blunt bedside manner with a wit that is bound to please children of all ages. Simple in design, but rich in emotion, Lemaitre’s illustrations show just how important it is to “take two cookies and go straight to bed.” This delightful story is great for introducing children into the world of the role-playing or career exploration.
This book has quickly become a bedtime favorite in my house; after borrowing it from Ernie for one night only I’m pretty confident that I will be buying it for the house soon–my daughter keeps asking for it. She thought it was hilarious.
